Meet the Staff at CCHS
Administration
|

Prior to joining the Chester County Historical Society, Ms. Hall, a Chester County native, was Vice President of Operations for the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. In that capacity, she managed day to day operations, staff, Youth Leadership Program and the historic headquarters building, developed programs and raised funds for Chamber Foundation and the Chamber and serving as community liaison. Following the Chamber, she held the position of Keystone Innovation Zone Manager, a State initiative operated under the umbrella of the Chester County Economic Development Council.
Ms. Hall's volunteer activities have included serving as a director on the following Boards: West Chester YMCA, American Red Cross, Good Fellowship Ambulance and was Charter President of the Turks Head Exchange Club. She was recently accepted for the second time into the Leadership Exchange, a program of the Greater Philadelphia Economy League and is Vice-Chair of the Civil War Consortium.
Ms. Hall has had successful careers in sales and marketing. She holds a B.A. in Communication with honors from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Marketing minor. In addition, she became a Master Gardener while living in Atlanta and owned her own landscape design company.

Ellen, as Director of Collections, oversees the museum, library, photo archives and County Archives. As the Curator she is responsible for the care, interpretation of and access to the museum collection. Pam oversees the Photo Archives, which is the place to call if you are looking for historical photographs for research purposes or for publication in books, magazines, newspapers and videos. CCHS Photo Archives has over 80,000 historical photographs that document Chester County people and landscape from the 1840s to today. CCHS reproduction service can make reproductions suitable for display or to suit commercial needs.

Beth plans and implements programs for the Historical Society – from school programs to family programs, from museum tours to community outreach, from
teacher training to walking tours. Her job includes helping to develop
exhibitions, visitor research, and overseeing the History Lab. She also
coordinates interns, volunteers, and guides. Contact Beth if you would like to

partner with the Historical Society.

Sue shares with Carol Samuelson responsibility for the
day-to-day running of the youth programs at the Historical Society. She takes
reservations from schools, schedules guides, plans family and school programs
and teaches both at the museum and in classroom outreach programs. Teachers,

information about these programs or to schedule a group visit.

Carol shares with Sue responsibility for the day-to-day
