Thank you to all who attended our first Community Open House on October 28th. Several hundred people enjoyed an inside look at the variety and depth of what we offer to the community – exhibit previews, County Archives, library, and photo archive resources, National History Day, school programs, museum shop with hard to find local books, maps and our new fabric line, Young Friends, our new “Feed the Meter” quarter giveaway raffle, upcoming Cultural Center events and to meet the staff, trustees, volunteers and sponsors who make it happen.
Of equal importance, attendees learned about our very exciting $1million matching grant. In May, 2009, an anonymous donor offered to match any contribution to CCHS up to $1 million dollars. CCHS submits a match request once each quarter and the donor will continue to match contributions until we reach our goal of $1 million dollars.
